Chinatown Mail Delivery

Paul J Q Lee passed away January 2014.  An article mentions the family store at 32 Mott Street directly across the street from Transfiguration Church.  While the article is accurate and true, it excluded information on my father’s (Lee Toy Kin) managing the store from 1940 to 1971.  I don’t believe that Paul was aware of this history.

I am attaching an article that shows that my father as the store’s manager to ensure that the complete history is recorded.

Regards,

Cliff

The NY Times article tells of the quirky delivery of mail in Chinatown where letters are often addressed to stores, like the one Cliff’s father managed, in hopes that somehow the letter will finally reach the intended recipient.
